Gary Knopp was born in Whitefish, Montana, and moved to the Kenai 37 years ago. He is running for State House in District 30 to fight for reasonable, conservative solutions to our current budget crisis, that benefit both Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula.
Our State Legislature has spent their time bickering and finger-pointing and the time for a thoughtful fiscal solution is long overdue. We need new blood in the State House.
We need a representative who will remember the commitment he made to the citizens of the Kenai peninsula house district 30 to get things done and find real, practical answers to our budget issues.
We need a representative who is dedicated to cutting unnecessary administrative redundancy and waste, and keeping our departments efficient.
We need a representative who will fight to make governmental bodies accountable and keep the public informed on what their government is doing.
We need a representative who will curb administrative overreach and advocate for small businesses.
In the midst of tough fiscal debates, we need a representative who will advocate tirelessly for the needs of District 30, so that the Kenai Peninsula doesn't have to bear the brunt of state budget cuts.
Gary Knopp is that representative. Gary will bring a blend of fresh new ideas and proven experience as a local leader to the House floor. He will fight for the needs of House District 30, like funding for our schools and freedom from regulation for our businesses to grow. He brings the drive to get us going forward again in the State House.
